Week 2- Start of the Risers and Fallers

Week 2 was nothing short of exciting as teams looked to either find their first win of the season or extend their winning ways. By the end of it, 3 teams were left undefeated while 3 teams remain searching for their first victory.
The game of the week was between Toxic Tevin’s Eleven and SkeeeYee! This did not live up to the hype as SkeeeYee! put belt to ass in their victory 149.60-114.62. The lackluster performances from Breece Hall and Josh Allen and the lack of depth held back Toxic Tevin’s Eleven in Week 2. Let’s hope the preseason declaration from the manager doesn’t come to fruition. SkeeeYee! sits atop of the standings undefeated heading into Week 3.
Their Week 3 opponent, Remember the Titan, did just enough to secure the win. Mike Evans and Ladd McConkey led the Monday night comeback to put the squad ahead by 4.9 points against Team Sanders32. The loss of Joe Burrow proved to be a costly injury for Team Sanders32.

To add insult to injury, Jared Goff put up 45.96 points on the bench. Truly unfortunate circumstance with losing the game in that fashion and your starting Quarterback for the year, but the core put up monster numbers. There’s promise for Team Sanders32, but as it stands, they’ll have to remain at the bottom of the standings. Remember the Titan will attempt to continue down the winning path as they take on the formidable SkeeeYee!
The Pillow Fight of the Week between TeamBigBlack74 and Joe Buckyourself was as advertised. The combined point total was the 2nd lowest total of the week. The defending champ is experiencing the championship hangover. They just can’t seem to get right at this point in time. If it was not for Odunze’s 34.80 points, things could have been a lot worse for Team BigBlack74. The team is not performing up to expectations and there is cause for concern due to their top picks in subpar offenses at this juncture of the season. Things are not too much better for Joe Buckyourself, but Jahmyr Gibbs and Baker Mayfield did enough to clutch the win. Both managers will be praying for a significant increase in “Points For” for their respectful team in the upcoming week, but for now, just take the under on each team in that category.
Another undefeated team revealed itself in Week 2 as Team Chenzzzzo eked out a win against the newly, controversially named RUB ME OUT IM STIFF. The freaked out squad was more concerned with “Teague Time” than taking care of business against Team Chenzzzzo.

Although Tucker Kraft was the highest scorer between both teams, Kenneth Walker and Jameson Williams provided the push to get Team Chenzzzzo another one in the win column. Team Chenzzzzo stands as 1 of 3 undefeated teams left in the league. They will look to extend that streak in Week 3 against Njigbas With Attitude. RUB ME OUT IM STIIFF will attempt to ditch the “Teague Time” and “Diddy Freakoffs” and get their mind back in the game before their matchup against the highest scoring team of Week 2, Team Hunt420.
Speaking of Team Hunt420, they took care of business in their rout against Njigbas With Attitude. Both teams came out swinging posting the 2 highest scores of the week and the season so far. But someone had to lose, and like Canelo, NWA took a decisive loss. Right before Team Hunt420 was at the cusp of putting up more points, we caught up with the manager of NWA. He had this to say, “I’m not one to bitch, but the Wan’Dale start gotta be one of the luckiest starts I’ve seen. I wish Worthy never got hurt.” Fans noticed the interview and are now calling into question the job of the “hatin’ ass” manager because of his poorly timed interview in relation to the status of the game. After their 35.46 point victory, Team Hunt420’s manager were told of the comments and he just laughed it off by replying with “You mean genius start” These teams will see each other in what may be a pivotal match in After their 35.46 point victory, Team Hunt420’s manager were told of the comments and he just laughed it off by replying with “You mean genius start” These teams will see each other in what may be a pivotal match in Week 13.
In other news, Team ColeWorldNoRelation dropped The Swifties by putting up over one FIFTYYY! A complete 180 for Team ColeWorldNoRelation in comparison to last year’s squad. The manager’s ability to come back stronger during the draft has been fruitful for the undefeated team. Solid team all around with everyone scoring double digits. The team effort proved too much for the Swifties. There was a questionable decision made by the manager of the Swifties to sit Slayer with hopes of Travis Hunter finally living up to the hype. That was not the case, but even if that decision was not made, it would not have mattered. It’s looking quiet on that bench for the Swifties. Let’s hope their core players remain healthy and productive and Keenan Allen sees the field.
Every team still has something to prove going in to the upcoming week. The winless teams may have to push the panic button if they can’t notch a win this week. Week 3 may send those teams as well as others spiraling while some may experience success and the push they need to stay the course to make the playoffs. More will be revealed. Good luck to everyone.
